Cloud Services - Purpose and Features

Cloud services deal with cloud computing whose purpose in turn is to provide location free computing. The types of clouds may vary. You could have either public or web based cloud and private or internal cloud. They may work using mobile devices (for example you would need mobile internet for your web based cloud to be truly location free) or might need specific technology (such as special software modules or browsers). Cloud computing is largely a result of the accessibility of Internet.

The companies who provide cloud services may provide special applications that may be used on the web for business purposes (so as to make the business location free). They could also provide the servers which would host the business data and programs as well as other types of software and hardware support which would make cloud computing possible. The specialty of cloud computing services here is that neither hardware nor software assets are owned by the business. They just take the services from service providers. Find more info On-premise workloads to Cloud

The cloud services provided and charged for include in and out data transfer, data storage (GB-month measurements), Input/Output requests, GET and PUT requests, IPs, instances (programming object copies), and load balancing. Users may sometimes be allowed to bid on available instances. The cloud architecture (containing multiple applications interacting with each other through the cloud or the Internet) would need to be designed by experienced professionals so as to provide maximum service to the businesses. The architecture would include the client(s) front end as well as the server(s) back end.

The billing on the cloud services could be either based on a utilities type model or a subscription model. If the service providers use utilities type model then you would be paying only for the units of computing power used (much like how you pay for utilities like electricity). Instead, if the payment is subscription based then you would be paying a fixed charge for services provided on a timely basis (similar to how you pay for newspapers).
